Crux ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

a) Information you provide

• Your first name — entered during onboarding, stored only on your device.

b) Information collected automatically

• Onboarding analytics — we track which onboarding steps you view and whether you complete onboarding. This is collected via PostHog and does not include any personally identifiable information.
• Subscription and purchase data — managed by RevenueCat. This includes your purchase history and subscription status. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

c) Information that stays on your device

• Screen Time and app usage data — Crux uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to block selected apps during focus sessions. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
• Focus session history, streaks, and statistics — stored locally on your device using iOS standard storage.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the app's core blocking and focus features
• To understand how users move through onboarding and improve the experience
• To process subscription payments and verify entitlements

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the following service providers:

• PostHog — anonymous analytics (posthog.com/privacy)
• RevenueCat — subscription management (revenuecat.com/privacy)
• Apple — payments processed via the App Store (apple.com/legal/privacy)

4. Data Retention

Session history and local data are retained on your device until you delete the app. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's data retention policy. Subscription data is retained by RevenueCat as described in their privacy policy.

5. Children's Privacy

Crux is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
